Delsea Schaffer of Carneys Point created the Best of Show winner, “The Fountain”

Kick off the fall season on September 23, 2017 at the Giant Pumpkin Carve at the Salem County Fairgrounds (see map below).

More than 60 giant pumpkins will be carved by professional, amateur and student artists and showcased for public viewing and judging.  Look forward to loads of fun for all ages: hayrides, music, crafts, costume pageant, games, vendors, wine tasting and more!

  • 5:00 pm: Costume Parade & Contest—Stage (4:45 line up)
  • 5:30 pm: K-9 Demo—Stage
  • 6:00 pm: Monster Mash Dance Contest—In Front of DJ
  • 6:30 pm: Pumpkin Pie Eating Contest (Youth 10-15yr & Adult 16yr+ near Food Stand)
  • 7:00 pm: Pumpkin Pageant Entertainment—Stage
  • 8:00 pm: Auction of Donated Baskets—Farmers Market
  • 8:30 pm: Winners of Pumpkin Carving, Haunted Hole in One– Prizes at Office
  • 9:00 pm: Event Closes

Each pumpkin is numbered for the Carvers but names are kept anonymous for fair judging. Pumpkin Sponsors are listed on signs and provide financial support to Meals on Wheels (sponsors usually do not carve the pumpkins).

  3. Place Ticket in One of the Ballot Boxes Located Outside Each Barn
