Members of the board were joined by Carneys Point native Mike Shawaryn during the Magic of Salem City Christmas parade. Mike, who is now playing for the Boston Red Socks minor league system, helped our organization promote our involvement in the Subaru Share the Love Event.
Over the last 10 years, Subaru of America and its participating retailers have donated more than $118 million to its charity partners. This year’s Subaru Share the Love Event is on track to bring that total to over $140 million, proving there’s no limit to the amount of love we can all share.
From November 15th through January 2nd, anyone who purchased or leased a Subaru and selected Meals on Wheels as their charity of choice helped Subaru of America to reach their giving goal. Meals on Wheels of Salem County was glad to have Mike participating in the parade with us to help promote this worthwhile event.
