The Giant Pumpkin Carve is more than just giant carved pumpkins, vendors, food trucks and fun. The purpose of the Giant Pumpkin Carve is to raise money to benefit home-bound seniors living in Salem County, NJ. Seniors who rely on our home delivered meal services. Seniors who are often isolated and rely on the friendship and connection with our volunteers.

We know the decision to cancel the Giant Pumpkin Carve left many disappointed as many members of our community look forward to this event each year. Our staff works all year to plan this event and it was tremendously difficult for us to cancel as well.

The Giant Pumpkin Carve is the largest fundraising event our organization hosts each year. While many have suggested rescheduling it is not quite as simple as it sounds. We simply cannot give up, but instead we must embrace our ability to pivot our plans.

How you can help keep the Giant Pumpkin Carve fundraising efforts going:

Make a monetary donation!
We are seeking 1,000 donors to donate $25 help raise $25,000, what we anticipated making in ticket sales. Donor names will be listed on our website on the Giant Pumpkin Carve tab in the month of November.

Donations can be made here.

Purchase 50/50 raffle tickets!
Our goal is to sell all 3,000 tickets we printed to ensure the winner can walk away with $7,500 cash! 50/50 tickets are $5 each and can be purchased at our office, Hidden Creek Farm in Stow Creek or Sickler’s Circle View Farm in Monroeville.

Purchase a giant pumpkin!
Halter’s Farm Market located in Pennsville and Triple C Angus in Pilesgrove are graciously selling our giant pumpkins at their farm store locations. These pumpkins weigh between 70-90lbs each! All GIANT pumpkin sales from both locations will directly benefit our organization.

Visit the South Jersey Pumpkin Show!
Kathy Wright, creator of the South Jersey Pumpkin Show has generously offered to donate $1/carload from the event this Saturday (10/8) & Sunday (10/9) to our organization. By attending the South Jersey Pumpkin Show this weekend you will be supporting Meals on Wheels of Salem County as well.

Shop with our vendors!
Our team recruited 63 vendors for you to shop with this year.  Here is the full list of this year’s vendors. Nearly all vendors generously donated their vending fee to us instead of receiving a refund. We encourage you to shop these vendors at their upcoming events and to thank them for their support.

Our team is heartbroken as we pour our heart and soul into not just this event, but the work we do. It costs nothing to be kind. Be kind to each other, please!
