Al and Pat Snyder have been delivering meals for 27 years! They originally started volunteering after they heard a friend talk about a meeting for Meals on Wheels and since Al had just retired they thought it was a great idea.
They said they feel the love from the clients in appreciation of the meal delivery and since so many of them live alone and are unable to cook for themselves they really need the meals.
Al & Pat have been together for 66 years, having been married for 62 of them. They live in Pittsgrove and have a large family including 3 children, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. They have always been active in the community, with Al being a fire commissioner and Pat serving on the board of education for 36 years.
