Chris Geiger

When Chris Geiger moved to our area she joined the Junior Women’s Club of Woodstown. The group encouraged all the members to volunteer locally and told her that Meals on Wheels was an easy volunteer opportunity for someone with young children so she signed up to become a driver.

In her work as an occupational therapist, she has witnessed the need for Meals on Wheels services and has recommended to patients and their families that they check into MOW. She’s had the opportunity to deliver to previous patients and it was great for her to see how they were progressing.

We asked Chris if she had any special memories and this is what she shared with us.

“My fondest memories were when I was delivering meals with three small children in tow and sometimes had my older daughter deliver the meal with me and the clients were always so excited to see her. It is hard to believe that I have been volunteering with MOW for 28 years and I have witnessed so many changes in the program and all for the better!”
