Meet Craig & Gaynel Schneeman of Mannington. They started volunteering with Meals on Wheels 2 years ago because they wanted to give back to the community and they feel strongly about the importance of the program. They love to get to know the clients and mentioned how they developed a friendship with a couple that they delivered to on their route.
The husband mentioned how much he loved cake one day so they would stop into the local café, Java Dog, and get him a piece of cake on their delivery day. They were warned by his wife that he was going to get spoiled by them! Gaynel shared these words about volunteering, “We really enjoy driving. We get more out of this than the clients do.” Craig and Gaynel are the owners of Barrett’s Plantation House and they are very active in supporting the Salem County Historical Society also.
Thank you Craig and Gaynel for helping us deliver more than a meal.
