Ed Fuerneisen

Ed Fuerneisen of Quinton celebrated his 83rd birthday on Valentine’s Day and has been delivering meals since 1992. He started as a member of the Quinton Baptist Church team of volunteers when he retired after 30 years at General Motors.
Ed has a special place in his heart for the clients of the Alloway-Quinton route, he loves to visit and share stories with them.
One memory of delivering meals that he will never forget is the time he arrived with a meal and
could hear the client calling out for help from inside a locked door. They had fallen and were unable to get up on their own. This day resonates with him the fact that he really does deliver More Than a Meal and he is so grateful he was able to get help for that person.

Over the years Ed has served in various roles at church and volunteered for many years with Camden Rescue Mission where he has developed lifelong friendships.

He is married to his wife Peggy of 55 years and he enjoys time with her along with their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
