Jeanette Finlaw of Quinton has been delivering meals for over 18 years and this is what she shared when we asked her about her experience. “After I retired from teaching in the Salem Elementary School in 2002, I desired to spend some of my time with the shut-ins and the sick. One of those ways was to volunteer with Meals On Wheels.
I started as a partner with Peggy Fuerneisen on the Quinton-Alloway route. What an opportunity to meet so many beautiful people, to have conversations and laugh with them, to be the one or only person they may see for the day and to deliver the much needed meal!!! I have greatly enjoyed this volunteer mission through the years. I pray that I bring some joy and happiness to each client when I see them. Every time I leave their house I feel blessed.”
Thank you Jeanette for your continued support and for Delivering More Than A Meal.
