Nancy Mossop

Meet Nancy Mossop of Newfield, she is shown with her late husband, Al. They started volunteering in 2014 because they wanted to give back to the community. After several years, Al became ill so Nancy took a hiatus from volunteering to help care for him. After his passing she decided it was time to come back as a volunteer but she really wanted to have a partner to help with delivery.

Meals on Wheels asked their current volunteers if they would like to partner with Nancy. Our volunteer Cheryl Easterling jumped at the opportunity because she has twins that delivered with her and it was nice to have someone be in the car with one while the other helped go to the door with the meals. This MOW partnership quickly turned into a lasting friendship and Nancy is part of the Easterling extended family.

Nancy has many talents that she uses to support her community, she creates teapot lamps, memory bears and even masks that she has donated to support different organizations. She said she loves to volunteer for Meals on Wheels because it is a good and needed service; she just loves to give back to her community.
