In 2002, Salem Health and Wellness Foundation was founded on the principle of promoting the health and wellness of Salem County residents. Two decades later, the Foundation marks its 20th anniversary milestone and celebrates its impact on the community: $56 million in grants and contributions/scholarships to more than 68 local organizations.
“We are fortunate to have been able to make a strong and lasting impact on the Salem County community,” said Executive Director, Paul DiLorenzo. “We have worked together to navigate through unprecedented times throughout the past 20 years and have continued to develop successful partnerships with incredible nonprofits in order to carry on our life-changing work.”
To help mark the 20th anniversary, Salem Health and Wellness Foundation created an Anniversary Video Series highlighting partnerships with local nonprofit organizations. Recently, the second video in the series was released, showcasing the partnership with Meals on Wheels of Salem County and their contribution to individuals in need. “In the years since we have partnered with Salem Health and Wellness Foundation, we have reached nearly $800,000 in financial support and provided 66,000 additional meals to seniors living alone and individuals under 60 with disabilities because of the Foundation,” said Salem County Executive Director, Carly Melchert.
